Water is an essential element of your dietary needs but, is plain water the only liquid that can satisfy your daily fluid needs? In this video, Herbalife Nutrition Expert, Susan Bowerman, MS, RD, CSSD, FAND, shares other refreshing and delicious hydration options.

Maybe you’ve heard: it’s important to have 8 glasses of water a day. And it is. Yet, you CAN drink other fluids to help you stay hydrated because they’re essentially made of water. Some of those liquids include:

– Coffee
– Tea
– Mineral water
– Sports drinks
– Broth

When deciding what fluids you’ll drink to replenish your body, be mindful of the calories in them. Things like water, mineral water, and tea are relatively low-calorie. You can also flavor your water by adding a few slices of your favorite fruits or veggies like strawberries, cucumber, or lemons. But if you opt for juice or soda, watch out for those extra calories.
