Water Filters for Backpacking

Water Filters for Backpacking-
Knowing what water filters are out there is very important so that you don’t make a mistake and take something that is too heavy or just inconvenient. There are 3 main types of water filtration systems: a pump system, a squeeze system, and a gravity system. In this video I review the Katadyn Hiker Pro pump system filter which I used for 18 days on the Pacific Crest Trail, and I talk about the Sawyer Squeeze Mini.

Things mentioned:
-Katadyn Hiker Pro water filter 11 oz. without the pouch (w/ the pouch it is 14.4 oz. it filters 1 liter of water in 48 pumps) http://amzn.to/2r70gTO
-Sawyer Squeeze Mini water filter 2 oz. http://amzn.to/2pZZNCU
-Sawyer Squeeze water filter 3 oz. (filters 1.7 liters per minute) http://amzn.to/2qJpR4s
-Platypus Gravity water filtration system 11.5 oz. (filters 1.75 liters per minute) http://amzn.to/2qJKJIB
