Nutritionist Advice on Coconut Milk & Coconut Water – Ann Louise Gittleman
In this video, Ann Louise Gittleman, PhD, CNS answers a fan’s question about the pros and cons of coconut milk and coconut water. To answer this seemingly simple question, Ann Louise explains what benefits are to be found in coconut milk, including its anti-fungal and anti-aparasitic properties, but also explains why she doesn’t recommend it be used while on Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the Fat Flush plan. For example, while coconut milk does encourage healthy thyroid activity, it lacks certain essential fatty acids such as omega-3 or omega-6. At the same time, Ann Louise offers some helpful tips on how best to use coconut milk when it’s the proper time to incorporate it into your diet.
